Wow, What can you say about CYNDI LAUPER !!
She is just an amazing performer and a totally inspiring person.
How can someone while being so busy, give so much in a show, give to her fans and still find the time & energy to sit down and talk to us?!
We would like to thank Carol Jacobsen, Cyndi, her Band & Crew 4 making this the most fantastic experience and making us feel so welcome and part of every show. We have made some fantastic friends.
We would also like to thank OUR crew for helping pull this together @ the last minute & making it such a success! We didn't get much sleep but we had a BLAST!!!!!!

Saturday 3rd July: Melbourne, Victorian Arts Centre
Cyndi played her opening show at the Melbourne Concert Hall last Friday night, it was awesome! We sat out in the cold forever just waiting to see a glimpse. She came out. I pissed my pants. She signed my record. I told her she was the reason our band was together (which is another story). I gave her our demo C.D. We got a call the next morning to perform that very night as the support for the one and only Cyndi Lauper.

After Deirdre, Mel, Lisa & Mark played their set and watching an amazing performance by Cyndi and her band we all got on stage (unfortunately Mark had to go to work) and we played Girls’ Just Wanna Have Fun together as encore jam session. Mel played a great solo and Deirdre with Lisa shared the mike with Cyndi and brought the house down. The MCFM dancers were tremendous in the extravaganza. We all totally cried.

Hello Boys and Girls.....did you have fun at the Tote last thursday?? I know i did. It was our Shaunaghs Birthday...HAPPY DAMN BIRTHDAY MOITE and much celebrating to boot. And a big Happy Fricken Birthday to Deirdre's dad aswell for the same day (we taped the show for you!). September is a popular time for birthdays, isn't it.....I'd rather not know how my parents celebrate their new years.
Anyway enough banter and back to the point, MCFM. High energy set, tight, distinct, dynamic, dancing, costumes, podium guitar, buffy tribute great audience and I know i keep saying this but if you havent seen the show in a while (or god forbid not at all) you really should get off your ass coz I've seen it every time and these guys never cease to shake my shit up....so come to the next one.

Wednesday 23 April: The Tote
With Sista She, Remake Remodel.
Another kick ass show @ the Tote last wednesday. Starting off with Sista
She, a hip hop take the piss girl duo from sydney. First show in Melbourne
and might I just add...fricken hilarious. I think these girls are gonna get
a quick following, go and see them its worth it.

MCFM what can I say....."Toight....like a tiger". If you havent been to see
them in a while or god forbid...not at all, you really should. I see them
play all the time and I still get awestruck. There's a new song in the
setlist and the sound just keeps on improving. Better with every bite!!

Remake Remodel Rules. Great set with a couple of covered classics. Its no
secret that Cyndi Lauper's 'when you were mine' is MCFM's favourite!!
Thanks for the gig guys, great crowd and have fun overseas. Rock on!
Sunday the 13th April: The Greenroom
With: Screamfeeder, The Treetops and Slinkee.
Ahhhhh.......the sound of a great mix. Thanks Sid!
A little change in the set list gave us all a progressively heavier set which I have no complaints about what so ever. High energy performance all round, the dancers never missing a step even when one of our cheerleaders was having an asthma attack. She's alright now, don't panic.
Thursday 10 April: Espy
Inpress Indie Initiative
Headlining in the Front Bar
with Boomtime, Zoquo, Damnzel

This a partial excerpt taken from the review posted on http://www.indieinitiative.com

"More Crap For The Masses finished the night off. Four girls out front again. Footy shorts on, guitars feeding back and a singer giving her all. More rock than Damnzel, they had pom pom girls doing cheers for them."..............." I loved the effort that the band went to entertain and they did a well deserved encore."

Tuesday 25 March:
The Tote
9:20-10:00pm
With: Invivo and Amazons

Hello all and thanks for your support last Tuesday at the Tote. Great
audience. Biggest for the night!!! This seems to be the way things are going
these days. Its exciting stuff.

In Vivo and The Amazons both played awesome sets and if you liked the
amazons they've got 2 more gigs coming up early April before they take a big
break so keep your eye on the paper and catch 'em before they go.

As for the next MCFM gig it will be at the Esplinade Hotel in St. Kilda on
Thursday 10th of April. Its free in the front bar so come and watch and have
a beer and it really is a splendid show.

Sunday 16 March:

Dan O'Connell Hotel (Rock in the Park!)

3:30-4:15pm
With: Dallas Crane, Warped, The Fauves, The Cants, Riff Random, Sebas Rockets, and more...

ROCK IN THE PARK AT THE DAN O'CONNELL last Sunday was a wicked success. We pulled in a decent crowd to the indoor stage, the biggest infact besides the headliners. The set was amazing, good sound, great dancing and plenty of crowd whispers wondering who we were! If you were there to show your support...cheers, we really appreciate it.
I didn't get to see much on the outside stage but Warped rocked out and seemed to be a great crowd pleaser. Energetic performers are a really great thing to see.
*** One question: How come tooheys beer tastes better when its free?
Saturday 15 March:
